Following the survey the appraisal findings are presented to clients as an illustrated report document. The report outlines the client’s brief, the type of construction, the building’s condition, the appraisal conclusions, and recommendations for remedial work options. The causes of deterioration and the conservation objectives are also clearly defined in the report. It forms the basis for a schedule of works, helping to simplify the tendering process, and is useful for gaining Listed Building Consent, Planning Permission and Building Regulations approval.
