The roof of this dormer window let in water and had no insulation. The window had a steel frame, was single glazed and prone to condensation. Having reached the end of it’s service life it was replaced with a double glazed and draft proofed double hung sash and covered with a warm roof. All lead flashing and rainwater goods were renewed.
We carry out wall plate, rafter and purlin repairs on historic roofs of all periods and descriptions, whether it be a medieval barn, a 17th century cottage or a Georgian townhouse we have the skills and expertise to meet the challenge.
